Orange is fast becoming a centre of excellence for educational services. Orange is lucky to be home to the ever expanding Orange campus of Charles Sturt University Schools of Denistry and Health Science.

We have excellent schools and tertiary education institutions in Orange with teachers and business professionals moving to the region to provide a quality education for all students, across all education systems.

Higher Education

Charles Sturt University

Supported by the resources of Charles Sturt University campuses in NSW, the Orange Campus offers on-site students a high-quality education available on site to full-time day students, or distance education students. 

Orange campus is home to the School of Dentistry and Health Sciences formed in 2008. The school brings together CSU's rich history of health professional education in Medical Imaging, Nuclear Medicine and Nutrition and Dietetics. These disciplines have been joined by the new disciplines of Dentistry and Oral Health and had their first intake of students in 2009.

Tertiary Education

Western Institute of TAFE 

Orange College is a major regional centre offering a wide range of trade programs, as well as courses in access and general education, business, community services, hospitality, information technology and management, with many at diploma level. The college specialises in accounting, children's services, conservation earthworks, fine arts, fitting and machining, HSC, hairdressing, horticulture, music, plumbing, painting and decorating, real estate, shop-fitting, sign writing, travel, turf management, viticulture, welding and welfare.

Orange College operates out of three sites. The campus located at March Street where the business, hospitality, beauty, welfare, health and arts courses are offered, is also home to the main library.  The Anson Street Annexe offers courses in carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating, shop-fitting and sign writing. The Rural Skills Centre at Forest Road houses the 'Green Skills Centre' which offers a number of related manufacturing and engineering courses. The Rural Skills Centre is also home to the Primary Industries and Natural Resources faculty offering a range of courses including, but not limited to agriculture, animal studies, conservation earthworks, conservation and land management, horticulture, turf management, veterinary nursing, viticulture and wool classing.

Adult Education

Orange has several adult education and training providers including Central West Committee College, University of the Third Age (U3A - an over 55 college) and OCTEC.

Secondary Education

Orange has seven high schools.

Kinross Wolaroi School

Kinross Wolaroi School is a Uniting Church day and boarding School nestled in the beautiful city of Orange on the Central Tablelands of NSW. Kinross Wolaroi is a Pre-Prepartory to Year 12 school of over 1,000 students with a proud tradition of educating young people in a family environment where ideals are based solidly upon friendship, spiritual strength, the security of family values, hard work and the pursuit of excellence to the very best of one's ability. The school offers the opportunity for co-educational learning with separate boarding sites for girls and boys. 

Orange Anglican Grammar School

Orange Anglican Grammar School was established in 2007 and is a co-educational, day school in the Anglican tradition. The School currently caters for students from Transition (4 year olds) to Year 7. The first intake of Year 7 students took place in 2010, with progression to Year 12 by 2015.

Orange Christian School

Orange Christian School is a Christian parent-owned school located in the central west of NSW, preparing students for a life of on-going learning and service to the community. The site has been developed with modern buildings capable of housing 450-500 students. The school offers education for Pre-Kinder to Year 12.

James Sheahan Catholic High School

James Sheahan Catholic High School proudly serves families in the Orange region by providing a quality Catholic education for students in Years 7 to 12.

James Sheahan Catholic High School opened in 1980 as a modern co-educational high school and was named after Monsignor James Sheahan who had served the community of Orange for nearly 50 years. The school currently has 884 students enrolled.

Orange High School

Orange High School is a public high school and provides secondary education to students from year 7 to 12. Orange High School aims to provide a supportive environment in which students are encouraged to achieve. The school currently has over 1,000 enrolments.

Canobolas Rural Technology High School

The Canobolas Rural Technology High School was established in 1967 and is situated on the eastern boundary of Orange. The school has close ties with its community and a reputation for high academic achievement, student excellence, a diverse curriculum and a caring and competent staff. The school helps and encourages students, according to their ability, to strive for excellence and success in a variety of fields. It places emphasis on use of technology in a rural context. The school currently has approximately 770 enrolments.

Anson Street School

Anson Street School, a school for specific purposes and caters for students with special needs, aged 4 - 18 years. Anson Street School works in partnership with Parents and Caregivers to develop Individual Education Programs for all students. The school has approximately 90 enrolments.

Meadowbank Education Trust School

Orange campus (Exclusive Brethren) - Years 3-12
